Title: It's all my fault she says....
Post by: fatbaldguy on September 28, 2014, 05:12:18 PM: that she cut the piss outta her finger. Jesus Horatio Christ! She asked me to sharpen her kitchen knives. She's not allowed to touch mine, she doesn't treat a knife with respect.

So I sharpen her kitchen knives. Washed, dried them and put them away. She got one outta the block and laid it on the counter, got a tomato, then tried to pick the knife up by the blade.

Reckon she took a stupid pill today, and yeah, she left the knife in a sink full of water. >:(

Post by: Timothy on September 28, 2014, 06:23:30 PM: Miss Suzy laid her finger open a few weeks ago cutting bread with a bread knife. Nice clean, deep gash to the booger hook from a serrated knife.

She immediately ran cold water over the wound and started hooting for me to put on the big boy pants and drive her to the hospital. I calmly assured her that she was fine, we'd stop the bleeding, apply firm pressure and properly dress the wound. She was convinced she needed a stitch or two but rational thought won out and she accepted my first aid.

A few days of TLC with the aid of a few butterfly bandages from my bigger FA kit and she's mended up completely.

Sometimes I wonder about the wisdom of the folks that raised children. I've been fixing my own boo boo's for nearly five decades! My wife's family are the cry and run to the ER type...I think it's a New England thing!

Post by: TAB on September 29, 2014, 12:18:21 AM: every thing is your fault....except it makes life easier. mine has never cut herself, but given what she does for a living one would expect her to be good with sharp objects.
