Which one of the self defense/concealed carry insurances do you guys like best? I used to carry USCCA insurance but there is Lawshield, NRA's Lockton Affinity ,etc.
Pro's and con's anyone?

I will not use the NRA's service simply because of the way they treated USCCA when the NRA introduced the service it backed. I can't remember the show it was at but they simply denied USCCA the booth they were registered for so the "competition" would not be around when the NRA's service was announced. Add that to the (IMHO) corruption at the NRA right now I wouldn't purchase their plan.
I did have USCCA for many years but recently I also have been looking around due to cost. It is a damned-if-you-do and damned-if-you-don't situation.

Thank you for your insight.
So from what you said I suppose the uscca is adequete just expensive?
And how is that HF ham radio antenna project going for you? You were going to put up an HF antenna....right?

Yes, I am............. I hope. I have to get my stepson to help and he is the type to have 10 irons in the fire at one time. On the plus side, I got him into Ham radio as well and gave him an antenna identical to mine so my thinking is he will help me at the same time he hooks his up and he has been showing a lot more interest in it since this year's Dayton Hamfest. It was our 2nd in as many years and I think it is going to become an annual affair for us.

I've been looking over some of these....this link has a good grouping with reviews. Looks like some good ones for decent pricing, depending on what you think you need as bare minimum.

I am 100% sure all the policies are not worth the paper they are printed on.
if you read them and see what is and is not covered, the actual dollar amounts and how the plans work when it comes to payment.
you are better off just having a better umbrella/ having a lawyer on retainer.
I have yet to hear about a claim that was actually submitted by any one against one of these insurance policies.

I have an umbrella. Bumped it up this year. i need to make find out if this sort of thing is covered.
Retainer...good idea. I'll need to nose around for one specializing in this sort of thing.

At one time or another I had NRA Carry Guard, USCCA, and Second Call Defense. Now I don't have anything at all. If I use my gun, I'm going to jail and don't know who to call.

Let's hope it never comes to that. Having said that I know if you, and others on this forum, have to use their firearm it will be well warranted.

I'm at a point where I'm not sure which is worse, not carrying, and potentially dying, or going to prison for defending myself, and my soul dying.
