Opinions on capacity vs caliber continued
« on: August 03, 2010, 09:27:19 PM »
Hey guys Rob shut down the old thread but I just wanetd to check back in and say wow, this thread turned in the complete oposite directioned I had planned. Anyways I ended up buying a ruger sr9c but a hundred rounds through it and love it, shoots great, feels great, first 9mm I have ever owned though. I like the gun not as thin as a thought it was but I love the feel and weight it doesn't feel cheap. Just wanted to let everyone know what I settled on after almost starting a war in the first thread.

No worries cml03f, A "War" was never going to happen, Rob, tends to not let subjects get too long. Many members here, like you, have their way of carrying what works for them, and posting their personal likes or dislikes about trying this method or caliber. etc... That's all.

It's really not as bad as you might think. We kick ideas, tactics, and our .02 cents off each other, and when the thread reaches the "enough" level, it's time to move on.

Kind of a "cleansing breath". ::)

This forum doesn't rip members for anything that works for another member, we'll just throw our .02 cents in, and in the end, gain a broader perspective to what else is out there. Might be some ribs and jabs, but we're all part of the same affection, and love for our firearms, and it really doesn't matter what brand or style we choose.

The choice you made with the Ruger SR9c, is entirely that. If it is functional, reliable, comfortable, and accurate for you, than you made the right choice.

Keep the posts coming, post some pics of your SR9c, or maybe a range report. It will be welcome. Take care, stay safe, good shooting, and welcome to DRTV.

Were not Jerry Springer bad, just kinda like having the entire family around for the holidays, even the crazy Uncle's from Muskogee... ;D

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Even in the other threads like politics which is sometimes like soccer with out the ball, the people who thrash and get thrashed are High post count folks, much of the sarcasm and slams are for amusement with people we are well acquainted with, New folks we try not to  scare away, and if it's a technical question we get serious , for a while  ;D

Yeah... it's all in good fun. If it's not, it shouldn't be going on. BUT... we DO get in trouble if we all don't get our gun porn or range reports, so get busy!  :D

Yep!
 :)

so..... Head over to the Handgun section and post a report about your range experience!

It was a good thread and will now sit in the archives for people to find when they are curious about member opinions on Caliber vs. Capacity.
