First AR Build
« on: April 09, 2011, 12:36:09 AM »
My First AR Build. :) Went pretty good I think, took me a little over an hour once I sat down with all the parts.  ;D ;D ;D Mostly DMPS... upper, lower, and parts kit, with a VOLTOR stock, and a few MagPul accessories. Topped off with an EOTech! ;D Certainly won't be my last build, it was so much easier than I though it would be, I can't believe it took me this long to get around to building it. ::) I'm heading off to the Firearms Academy of Seattle in the morning for the Tactical Rifle class. I'll probably use my Oly AR as it has an ACOG on it, but I hope I'll have time to break in the barrel on this one while I'm there. :P

Congratulations!!!!!!! ;D I too, caught the bug, and really enjoyed building mine in Jan. It was easier than I thought as well. Let us know how the shoot goes.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Nice job. Just to warn you once you start building it seems like siblings are quick to follow. Before you know it you'll have boxes of parts that just look lonely and you'll feel the need to unite them.
