I saw an article the other day on FB about this ammo.

If Black Talons caused the 'looney left' to have nightmares, this stuff will cause them to hemorrhage from their primary orifice of thought.

Seems to me that using this ammo would be a good way to get a charge of 2nd murder...

In self defense you're trying to stop the attack, not be Judge,Jury & Executioner, I believe that using this type of ammo goes well beyond what a prudent person would use and would bring a whole world of hurt into your life. I think I would continue to use what the local police departments use and feel well protected and less likely to lose any civil/criminal cases brought against me, Plus I wasn't real thrilled with the over penetration that the round exhibited, Just another chance for a wrongful death/injury.

Watching the video, I have my doubts about how effective it would be.

The prongs dispersed quickly as seen in the jelly and I doubt they had the mass to penetrate, say, a rib cage.  and they were moving at angle away from the point of impact...they might do a lot of skin and surface muscle damage, but that won't be a sure fight stopper.

The "core" which continued on is the weight of a 22LR round...again, not the maximum fight stopper. 

And, as Majjer said, the ads set you up for a probable cause trial.

I'd wait and see how they perform on animals or on the street, if anyone is foolish enough to load them for SD....and even if they do well on animals, I don't think I'd be that foolish to use them.

I think you guys who wouldn't use this ammo are right. It should stop the BG fast but I can see a prosecutor calling it "cruel and unusual".

I think they are a gimmick, a solution looking for a problem, probably by someone with some CNC machinery that was sitting idle when they got the bright idea to make their own bullets.

I'll stick with my flying ash trays  ;)

+1 on that. I found it interesting that they said it "defeats all barriers" BS on that one as I can't see this passing the FBI tests. I think it actually is likely less penetrating as in not over penetrating. When the cops start using it then I will pay attention as it will avoid the lawsuit problems.
