What possible "inovation" could Ruger bring to a platform that's been the Chevy 350 of pistols for very near 100 years now?  I love some of Ruger's weapon's, but...  I agree with the earlier statement of.  I'd be very dispointed if it's just a "hey guy's look!  I've got one to!".

Now if GLOCK came out with a 1911!!!  THAT I'd like to see!  ;D

Doing a quick read thru of this thread and haven't seen it mentioned (not that it isn't here) but if Ruger puts out a modular SS similar to STI's Hi Cap (which I'm sure STI has thought about) I would take a close look at it if the price was right.  I might look if it was a poly framed 1911 also (after a year or so).

Just because the 100-yr anniversary of the 1911 is coming up, Ruger should produce a model.  Price it around $700, maybe $600 street, and I'd definitely choose a Ruger over a Taurus.
