Not to mention...  Have you guys ever seen a .22 mag short barrel shot through a Chrony?  Waste of money buying the more expensive ammo!  Not good for anything other than making a bigger "BANG" noise and flash.  .22 Mag uses slow powder by design of the cartridge.  Not a good combo with a pistol barrel.

I beleive BM was talking about a 38/40/ 10mm convertible. there's about .050 difference in bore diameter between  .38 (.357 ) and 40/ 10mm  (.400 ) It can't shoot both well.

Tom, Silverback meant the 38-40/10mm The 38-40 is actually a .40cal bullet with 38 grains of B/P in it's original loading so it works rather well in that combo.

Fixed it ;D

Actually the .22lr / .22wmr Silverback mentioned.

As far as my own interests, they could completely stop production of .38, .357, .40, .17rf, 9mm, .223, .25acp, 10mm, .410, 20ga, and a dozen others...  No concern.  They've all got competitors that out class them in any application.  JMO!!!!

You know, I have 3 Single Sixes but I've used them mostly as a training tool and never really shot the for accuracy. Maybe I'll try the Single Ten at some distance.

38 and 9mm are not very close as well. .357 and .355

22 and 22 mag are simlar.

I'd wonder if you could change out the new 10 round cylinder, pawl, and ?, turning a "Single Six" into a "Single Ten".  Seems worth looking into if you have the six shooter.

If testing one of these for accuracy, the only thing I can think of to compare to would be the S&W 617.  Are there any .22lr specific single actions out there?  The "Heritage" guns are the same as the Ruger's.
