N Y Dad has his handguns confiscated.

http://www.610wtvn.com/articles/national-news-104668/new-york-dads-pistol-license-suspended-11152916/

I have been following this incident in a local LI NY gun blog.

This is an example of what happens when gun registration becomes reality. For those of you in free states NY has the Sullivan Law, which requires the registration of every handgun in the state. To own a handgun you are required to apply for a Pistol Permit and if approved then must have every handgun listed on the permit by make and serial number. Get caught with a gun not on the Permit, go to jail. No kidding!

New York has recently enacted legislation that will require the same for long guns.

The poor dude had his license revoked for an absolutely outrageous reason, his son said something overheard by a teacher at school.

This is our future! Colorado folks better pay close attention here. This is what happens with registration.

More "blue" states like CT, MD, RI, CA, NY, NJ, IL, and CO, are all jumping to enact these restrictive unconstitutional laws, they all know the legal system turns slowly for groups like the SAF, GOA, and the NRA to fight back.

and the legislators could care less....

Yeah. Such phases are typically called civil wars.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Hmmmmm. Where dose this all dose sound familiar.

Aggggh that's right. Where I live

I have to be very carful with what I say or do. Anyone makes a complaint about me being threatening I loose all my guns then have to wait for the investigation

It has happened here as well where LAFO's have been falsely accused and have had to fight to get everything back.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Anyone interested here is the thread in the local Firearms forum.http://www.longislandfirearms.com/forum/topic/67755-just-the-mention-of-a-gun-in-school/.

It is quite long but is informative as to the actual incident and the response to the "authorities" by the individual and members of the LI Firearms community. Of interest is the support given to the dad by Eric Rohrbaugh (Rohrbaugh firearms). Michael if you are reading this give Rohrbaugh some credit for standing up for the little guy.

To save you folks some time and to prevent you from sifting through pages of "Me too" comments go herehttp://www.longislandfirearms.com/forum/topic/67755-just-the-mention-of-a-gun-in-school/page__st__400#entry838914
