French Revolution
« on: May 28, 2009, 06:01:56 AM »
Watching a show on the French Revolution on the History Channel, good God is it scary.  Why do some of the socialist in this country look up to the people, this whole thing is insane.  'The Terror', 'The Great Terror', 'let terror be the order of the day', pure anarchy, one corrupt politician replacing another corrupt through execution.  Tyranny is brought down through an anarchal corrupt blood bath and is soon after replaced by an Emperor looking for conquest.  Nothing of any real value has come from any of these European nations and their 'revolutions', they always return to tyranny.  Why is this?  What do people see in the anarchy of the French Revolution, Nazi Germany, political corruption, constant wars, and genocide?  In my opinion Europe has delivered to the world only one truly great thing, us.  And even our people can't resist the allure of tyrants.  Do these people so fear their world that they seek to turn the government into a dominating parental figure, slave master, or pimp?  Are our fellow sheep so scared of life that they would whore themselves out to the government in exchange for money, safety, and in order to get their 'fix'?  Is the 'fix' so addicting that some of us would turn over the great gift of our Lord, free will?  In my opinion the nations of Europe, in spite of all the good they have ever given the world, are the bane of humanity.  How long before our leaders, who have long forgotten that they work for the people, like a servant, bring forth 'The National Razor' to dispose of all those that would dare defy them?  Europe has never been 'The Cradle of Tyranny' it's a whole nursery.

Rights are like muscles, when they are not exercised they atrophy.

Depends on whether we beat them to it, B O , Pelosi, and many others are at least a "head" to tall at the moment.
