No I have the P239 9mm for CCW but was considering the G27 for the weight. But not ruling out the 26

I have a G26 and P239. Toss a coin.

Get the G27. Out of those two that would be my pick. Due mostly to weight, and the .40 S&W bullet it fires instead of 9MM.

I've never shot a 27 before and have heard pros and cons about recoil whats your thought on that. I'm not recoil shy but if I can't deliver rapid follow ups I would be a little hesitant.

Never shot it myself, but Have shot a 23 and Followups weren't hard. Recoil is a bit snappy, but it's absolutely manageable. I have a friend who does have a 27, and he can do just fine.

Recoil wise I couldn't tell much of a difference. They're both small guns, so its a little zippier than in a full size pistol, but no big deal. I went with the G26 because I already had nines and the mags are interchangeable. Add this to the fact that 9mm is cheaper than .40 and it was a no brainer. If I were starting from scratch, I probably would have bought the G30 in .45. .40 always struck me as a somewhat silly compromise caliber. Not tht much better than 9mm, and not near the oomph of a .45. Nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't seem worth the extra ammo cost. Your mileage may vary.

Hey Ratcatcher which on do you carry the most?

Glock 19.  ;D
I carried the P 239 for years because it was a small version of a P228. Shifted to the G19  because I finally figured out I did not need a decocker. I bought the G26 for the real hot days when I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

With a DAK trigger on a P239 its a wash with the G26. P 239 smaller and thinner, G 26 more ammo and maybe a better trigger.

I have shot a G27 at a DTI qualifier and had no problems. It must recoil more but I did not notice it. 9mm is cheaper and I have several 9mm pistols so a G27 would add  logistics issues.
