Any one old enough to remember the last recall on a 1911 ?  

No, I just remember my nightmare experience with one in 1911 particular.  Which is why I'm happy so say I now have a Glock.  Guess what?  It works!  

You could say that 1911s drove me to Glocks.  Thanks, 1911s!

Update:  Just ordered my replacement RSA.  Very short time on hold.

Actually that's true if you consider the speed of technological innovation.
We had the horse and wagon for thousands of years, but we went from developing the steam boat to walking on the moon in under 200 years.
Before the Civil War long distance communication meant yelling really loud, 150 years later cell phones allow us to communicate any where on the planet.
