The Republik of Kalifornia

Warm greetings to my comrades living under liberal occupational rule in the Republik of Kalifornia.

What I am about to say probably will not be the most earth-shattering news that you will get today. In fact, many will retort rather accurately that this is simply a re-run of one of my rants. However, it needs to be said. Your state, the state where I was born, raised and educated … well … it’s messed up.

Here are some recent examples. Back in October, your governor signed into law Assembly Bill 1471 requiring semi-auto handguns to incorporate micro-stamping technology by 2010. The thought or “theory” here is that when your local, west-side gang banger pops a cap in some east side gang banger that there will be one less mystery involving Darwin’s theory on natural selection … the empty case which is micro-stamped with an ID number will identify the shooter. Wrong. Too many guns in circulation for this to be a remedy. Wrong again not because micro-stamping has never been used (and it has never been tested!), manufacturing experts (sometimes referred to as engineers) say that it could be defeated in 35 seconds with liberal (pun intended) use of a bread n’ butter knife or a fingernail file. Wrong yet again because even if this miracle cure for gun crime could work, you would still have crimes committed with OTHER firearms such as revolvers and shotguns that are not under this messed up law. And yes wrong if you think that ANOTHER law or regulation will be more fruitful than any of the others out there (including Thou Shall Not Kill) in putting a stop violent crime.

While in theory, micro-stamping would seem to make sense, remember … in “theory” communism and time travel seem to make a lot of sense too. In the real world, not so much. The real point behind the micro-stamping law is that it will likely be too expensive for gun manufacturers to implement (if at all!) and with this they may likely choose not to sell semi-auto handguns in Kalifornia. If this doesn’t change between now and 2010 … buy as many semi-auto handguns as you can. And be sure to write Arnold, to thank him for his liberal value system.

OK. That’s old news. Messed up nonetheless but old. Here’s something new. From the same folks (Assembly Public Safety Committee) that brought you micro-stamping, comes new legislation that would require Kalifornia residents to have a permit (for $35) to buy ammunition. And it gets a whole bunch better! You could only have transferred to you fifty (that’s 5-0) rounds per month! So in the land of the ineffective magazine ban, that’s a whopping five magazines of ammunition per month. Oh … but that’s not all folks!! If this wasn’t enough … with this you would have to pay an additional tax of $3 per transfer! I could see gun stores selling other types of lubricants after this one.

Write your representative and respectfully tell them that they are so very wrong if they think this is going to reduce crime. Maybe give them some of the DOJ numbers on how states with right to carry laws have the lowest crime rates with guns in the country. Even the anti-gun Brady Campaign and Violence Center recently released data that shows black-on-black crime to be less in states where there is less (versus … duh … more) gun control.

All the same … take a stand or surrender to the liberal occupiers of your state!

Tom, you never cease to amaze me

You Californians voted for them, NRA and all, and they still come up and vote in this crap. What's wrong with this picture.
You folks need to get back into the grass roots problem. Start with the people who want to get into politics and work on them before they are corrupted with the ones you have now. Obviously they all think alike.

Big problem ... like gravity, the crap is going to run downhill.  Who is to say what happens in Kalifornia won't happen in your state next?  Trickle down theory in gun control is that what may start in Kail could come to your zip code next.

My point with this rant (besides that I have too much time on my hands) is that there are a lot of gun owners in Kali that don't do a thing to support their right.  They really do need to get back to a "grass roots" approach to counter the anti gun culture that is brewing there before it comes our way.

Micro stamping has already been DEFEATED in several other states, Same with lead ammo bans, even NJ politicians aren't that stupid. Every other state in the uniun is easing restrictions, passing concealed carry laws, No retreat legislation, overturning "parking lot bans", only Ca. voters seem to be gullible enough to vote for more failed restrictions. Look at San Francisco, after 30 years of failure in Washington SF wants to ban all hand guns.
When you complain about Commie Arnie remember, Ca. voters kicked out Grey Davis to get this foriegn born RINO Kennedy a$$hole, then REELECTED him.
Face it the average Ca. voter is uninformed and stupid. If you don't like the Peoples Republic of Upper Mexico vote with your feet and move to America.

Would voting with one's feet be the same as giving up?  Surrender?  I would respectfully disagree with that.

What I am suggesting is that instead of doing a French line dance and making a break for the border that the folks in Kali grow a set of stones and take control of the asylum.
