You need to keep in mind the possibility of feeding issues with standard magazines if you to to odd ball.

Good luck with the odd ball TAB,...mags, and bolts maybe a pricey addition, but if it's where you want to go,....may I humbly consider .50 Beowulf, or .458 SOCOM?  Ammo prices are bad enough...

or just get the 9mm conversion for cost.....which also NOW sucks.

if I keep it something based off the 222( yes 222 not 223. 222 Is the parent of 223) or a standard hand gun cal.   none of that should be a prob.   might need a custom barrel or have on reemed out.   no big deal.

You may need to mess with springs to adjust for more or less recoil .
Maybe even adjust the gas port.

I would think just springs would be enough.  Depends on how crazy it goes.   you might need to mess with the gas port, but I would think you can control when the gun unlocks with just springs.

Depending on the power difference in the cartridge you may need either earlier  or later ejection.
That is based on when the casing retracts from the chamber wall, and it would require larger, or smaller gas port.

half way, got a trigger group and all the other lower bits.   then the truck finally gave out and i need to save for a newer one.
