Key Lime Cake

You won't regret making this cake.  ;D

Amy’s Key Lime Cake

Cake Ingredients:

1 Box Lemon cake mix
1 (6 oz) Box Lime Jello
5 Eggs
¾ cup Orange Juice
1 ½ cup Vegetable Oil

*Hold for after cake is cooked:
¼ cup lime juice
6 tbs confectioners sugar

Directions:

Mix first five ingredients above and bake in three 9” greased cake pans at 325 degrees.

After cakes are cooked, immediately take out of pans to cool.
Mix lime juice and confectioners sugar until well mixed and divide into thirds and pour over each of the three layers until absorbed.
Allow to cool before icing.

Icing Ingredients:

1 Stick of unsalted butter
2 each 8 oz blocks of cream cheese
1 each 32 oz (volume) bag of powdered sugar (2lb bag)

Icing Directions:

Blend butter and cream cheese until well incorporated and then gradually mix in sugar.
Once well mixed, frost cake in layers.

*Optional: Add chopped pecans
