10/22 Black Friday Special
« on: December 19, 2024, 04:02:03 PM »
From the Black Friday Thread.

Did some checking.  Ruger has 26 models of the 10/22, PLUS another 28 distributer versions.  And that doesn't count 3rd party versions not listed.  While there's a version for every taste, I got to wonder if having so many variations is self-defeating.  Bud's has 44 variations In Stock, but that includes discontinued models.

My model is under the Carbine selection.  Model 31210.  Cheapest one they make with an MSRP of $369.99.  The store was selling it for $219.99.  That's 40% off!  Bud's sells it for $209, btw, but anyplace else is closer to $279

I got the Ruger trigger group in and installed.  Miss Kitty is holding the barrel and stock for Christmas.   I've weighed everything as it came, (4.4# btw) and am anxious to get it together.  Day after Christmas I'll post pictures and full weight details.  <wishLes were still here>   I'll shoot it in January's Steel Challenge.
Will work for ammo

I was looking at the Fletcher Open Top 11/22 last year. You can pop the top off and take the bolt out to clean it a lot easier than a standard 10/22. I was also looking at the Desert Tech Trek-22 bullpup conversion. The 2 things are mutually exclusive, and I think I'd rather have a bullpup with a composite bull barrel. But the 11/22 receiver would be great in a non-bullpup.
