Alf.  What the heck is going on in Georgia?

He said some mean things about a recently deceased state legislator (Not Carter but a local lifetime politician). It offended the speaker of the house who has barred Moore until he apologizes.

From the pictures and brief video it appears all the aggression was carried out by other people.  Moore is shown in one picture with his hands spread wide as to avoid any contact while he’s being wrestled to the floor.

Moore is from NW Georgia and is probably viewed in a derogatory manner.  Needless to say the State House leadership doesn’t like him.

Don’t really know anything about him.  Represents far NW Georgia.  That’s US Rep Marjorie Taylor Green area if that is any indication.  He’s definitely against career politicians.

Yesterday afternoon the GA Speaker of the House reversed his ban on Rep Moore.

I suspect the lawyers got to the speaker and told him he'd loose if this goes to court.  Plus it might negate any votes taken in Moore's absence.  And it would set a bad precedent on the Speaker's power to "discipline" House members.

Several prominent politicians went on record as opposing the ban and supporting Moore's right to be seated in the House.  Includes the Lt Gov, who presides over the GA Senate.

With all that drama behind us I wonder what "they" did in the back rooms while we were distracted?

Nothing beneficial for the good citizens of Georgia, I'm sure.

Gov Kemp is recommending reduceing personal income tax rates. I’m thinking this could be a move toward eliminating it altogether.  GA is already operating well within its tax revenue.
