Customer Service - A++ Comp-tac
« on: Today at 11:15:19 AM »
Give the kerfuffle at the ARRL when they were hacked.  The leadership wouldn't get it through their heads that it wasn't that their services, servers, were down that had people upset, but the lack of communication.  They posted on an obscure web page once a week an update that basically said, we're down, we're working on it and we'll let you know when it's fixed.   Kinda left everyone in the dark.  They could have PUSHED an explanation and an expected fixed date but just ignored the users.   And Black Rifle Coffee did even worse with their fulfillment issues a year ago.  They totally ignored the customers for 3 months, then sent everyone a 10% (or was it 15%?) discount code.  No explanation, no apology nada.  (I've been using Atlas since January last year)

NOW HERE COME COMP-TAC holsters.  They moved operations Alpharetta, GA at the end of the year.  They've fallen behind in production and fulfillment.  BUT THEY'VE TAKEN A PROACTIVE STANCE.  I've received two emails from them explaining what happened and more importantly setting some expectation of when they'll catch up.  I don't know if they just sent it to outstanding orders or to their entire mailing list but it was a smart move.  Even if they push the date back some more, I'm going to be  happy to wait because I'm not waiting in the dark.

Sometimes the right thing to do is so simple it makes you wonder why the other guys didn't do it too.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783
