PSA has Sierra Ammo on sale.
I ordered some .38 spl JHP at $10 a box for my pocket gun and .243 win at $17 for the wife.

Good sale.  Dang shame they insist on shipping to me FedEx...I just don't buy anything where I am restricted to FedEx anymore.  They screw up so much on deliveries where I am they are not worth the trouble.

For any work stuff I make certain I specify NOT FedEx on business shipments.

I have some Sierra ammo, including that .223 55 grain BlitzKing Prairie Enemy, and at half-off I would buy a bunch if I didn't just buy 900 rounds of 50 grain JHP ammo. I still might buy some, but not mass quantities.

Cor-Bon .45 ACP +P 165-grain JHPs are the defensive ammo I have the most of. I'll experiment with SIG Elite V-Crown +P and lots of other ammo, but the Cor-Bon is what I always fall back on.They claim a Velocity of 1,250 FPS, and Energy of 573 ft-lbs. That's on par with the energy level of lots of .357 magnum ammo, and better than some. But with 15+1 rounds instead of 6 rounds, the .357 is seriously lacking in total firepower. That's 9,168 ft/lbs total energy in my 5" .45, and 12,033 if I have a 20-round mag in it instead of 15. A couple more rounds and it would be about like a single round of .50 BMG, butt I can't shoot a .50 BMG one-handed. ;)

Funny, the shipping choices for different areas... they ship via UPS to me.

they all suck,  I recently had ups screw up a next day air package that only had to go about 160 miles.    I also had them frame  a pic just right to miss all the damage to the box.   its no way it was just a mistake.  5 years ago, i had fed ex bend 1/2" steel plate on the side of a 16k# trailer hitch.   it had to have been dropped off semi on to the ground.   The amount of force needed to do that is crazy.   last year i had usps send a package all the way to its destination, keep it for 4 months and then send it back saying it had insufficient postage. which is funny as i went into the post office to mail it.  it gets even worse when 1 service sends it almost all the way there, but the final delivery is with some one else.  never had that go well.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

It's cheaper to ship something UPS and have the post office deliver it "the final mile". Sometimes when a package comes via UPS Easy Post, instead of getting it when the post office says it's due, UPS will drop it off a day earlier. It's like, hey we were just in the neighborhood, so we dropped this off. And they're in my neighborhood every day. Other times I have to wait for the post office, and their Final Mile Delivery may or may not get here the day they say. UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and Home Depot do a pretty good job almost all of the time. Except they don't always leave packages at the back door like I ask them too. I had FedEx leave a box of ammo on the edge of the front porch soaking in rain, sleet, snow, and whatever else we had 12 days ago, instead of leaving it on the back porch where it would be less exposed.

FedEx in our region is a joke....and if you order anything via wally world and several other place they are the only option....which is why I hardly ever order from them.
I once ordered a new laptop years ago and FedEx left it laying in the middle of the driveway twenty yards from the house.

Probably 95% of the time they leave packages on my back porch. It's been awhile since anyone walked up on the porch and set a package on the table I have by the door. They just walk up to the porch and set it down or give it a toss. I heard something slide across the porch one day. The last package of ammo I got was a 25-round box of Subsonic 12 Gauge 00 Buckshot and one of Subsonic 12 Gauge Sabot Slugs. They were $5 off at Detroit Ammo Co. and still are. I need to find out if my smoothbore throws the slugs all over or shoots good groups. Some sabot slugs are okay in smooth-bores and others need fully rifled barrels. A rifled choke tube isn't enough for them. If I need a rifled barrel I'll add it to my shopping list.

Midway has IMI 5.56mm ammo in 30 round boxes, the way I like. The green tip SS109 ball ammo is cheaper than M193 ball. SS109 ammo doesn't normally have green tips like M855 ball. Ammo loaded with the 62 grain bullet with penetrator tip is usualy more expensive than 55 grain FMJ. The price is lower per round if you buy 210 rounds, cheaper than that if you buy 420, and even cheaper if you buy 1,200 rounds. Save from 24%-32% off. The M193 is 17%-15% off as quantities increase. It's 50 cents per round except 1,200 rounds are 49 cents apiece. The 62 grain ammo is only 42-48 cents per round. It goes down 2 cents each time you increase the quantity from 30-->210->420->1,200.

P.S. They have other ammo too. I think it was one kind each of 9x19mm and 7.62x51mm.

I once ordered a new laptop years ago and FedEx left it laying in the middle of the driveway twenty yards from the house.

I especially like how they throw things wherever they like when no one is home...or when we are at home.  Then when they don't make scheduled delivery they blame it on no one being home to sign for the package.  WE NEVER SIGN FOR A FEDEX PACKAGE unless it's cancer meds which they have also screwed up.  TO BLAME ME for not being home to sign as a reason for not delivering WHEN THEY DECIDE TO NO SHOW REALLY PISSES ME OFF.  And when I call THEY HAVE TO GALL TO SAY I WAS NOT HOME THAT THEY DID STOP BY I JUST DID NOT SEE THEM when I literally have 15 cameras around to prove they never showed up.  BITCHES.

The UPS and US Mail employees will put the packages in the house for me if I'm out and the weather is bad OR if I am going to be out-of-town for a bit without asking.  And...I am not asking and have not asked FedEx to do that.

OH yeah...and when my workers and I are working in the front on the road trimming brush and planting flowers and trees the FEDEX guys blast by us on the dirt road without slowing down covering us with dust.  When we flag them to slow down it's all about us being in their way.  Ten miles from the nearest pavement and they cannot slow down to 10-15 miles an hour for 200 feet?  And it's our fault for being out there when they blast by?  No...I refuse to do business with FEDEX.  I need to see about getting the county down to run radar...speed limit is 25 MPH and they bust it by 20+ on a regular basis...of course who knows when and if they will show up?
