This week the TBD-S team talks about the balance between risk and reward and begins to address the issue of encroachment on rights during the emergency.
More than a decade ago, TBD/SURVIVAL did a deep dive into pandemics and how Americans might protect themselves. Now that what we discussed in the abstract has come to pass, the TBD/SURVIVAL TEAM — Michael Janich, Rob Pincus, Mike Seeklander and Michael Bane — decided to come together to help people weather this crisis. Our commitment was always deeply personal; deeply honored that TBD saved lives. We are here to help.

Michael,
I have to say, after the government gives up on their power trip, I hope that you and the rest of your round table might continue to get together at least once a month.
The insight from all of you, including the good Doctor Aprill, is the best part of the week, other than your podcast, of course.
I do understand that all of you are volunteering you valuable time, and I do appreciate it.
Even if you could just talk about the events of the day and all of your thoughts about how they will impact the gun owners in America, it would be fantastic. Toss in some personal tales which have shaped all of you, and perhaps how your early life has been a part of who you are now.
As I said, I know that you all are doing these s a way to help us, and not to make money. No doubt that some or all of you are actually losing money.
This is just a suggestion, you can do whatever you will with it. I merely wanted you to know that your time is definitely not wasted.
Tim Kies
I whole heartedly agree with Mr. Kies comments! I must add that living in NJ, the complete disregard for my 2nd Amendment, nay my Civil Rights, by Gov. Murphy (an ironic name) presents a completely different set of problems for me and others. As an environmental scientist, retired, who worked in the public health sector, I fully understand the need for the initial response to this virus pandemic. Indeed I and my wife starting physically distancing long before the mandates came down, as Mr. Bane alluded to. However, I have no respect for a Governor or a government which will open state parks and public golf courses but keeps my private outdoor shooting ranges closed! Likewise, he gives no leeway to small businesses to find a way to open while keeping themselves and their customers safe – it is being done in other States as we speak! Thanks to all the participants, and a personal hello to Mr Seeklander who I had the great pleasure to meet a few years ago in Chattanooga – he definitely has me as a friend! LOL
